A couple of weeks ago, my mother-in-law mentioned to me that her best friend's daughter, Kristin, was getting married this coming spring and that she was really interested in having some custom design work done for her wedding. As it turns out, her future husband's last name is Rose, so we thought it might be fun to use a rose with the design scheme for her wedding.
A monogram can really set the tone for your wedding. It can incorporate your colors, your fonts and really just encompass the entire feel that you're going for. Kristin's wedding will be a formal, sassy affair with black and pink as her main colors. I designed several for her to choose from, and we ultimately decided to pull bits and pieces from several of them. Remember, your monogram can be used on everything from invitations to event signage, to aisle runners and thank you cards... and you don't have to use the entire design on everything. For example, Kristin could use just the rose and her and Shaun's initials on the cake and aisle runner, whereas the invitations might call for the full monogram, complete with names and the date. The rose on it's own might be a classy way to bring her theme full circle, by using it on event signage and as an envelope seal. The possibilities are endless!
